Knowledge is useful only when shared. Here’s my journey and experience on self-mastery, personal development, reflections, introspection, growth and personal excellence. Are you looking for direction and purpose in life? …or something to engage your mind? Hope this guide will add value to you who are finding your way around, just like me.
Fill your day with beauty. It is easy. All you need is a smile.
Young children are experts in this. You’d see them smiling at family, friends and also strangers. Observe them and see for yourself the impact it creates.
When you smile to another, you engages the soul of that person. Nothing brings out the beauty in another as quickly as a friendly smile from the heart.
A smile brightens everything. It brings out the beauty in the recipient, as well as you. The next time you’d like to have a beautiful day, give everyone you meet one of your smiles; let the world see the beauty in you as well as them.
If you continue to maintain an attitude of gratitude for all that you already have and focus all your attention and energy on that which you want (which is not yet here)… allowing them to be drawn into your reality.
Take a look at all that you already have, be grateful and give thanks. Go one step further… celebrate, knowing that more is coming your way. See the glass as half full. See the potential to hold more. Never see it, half empty. This is so, so crucial. If you know how powerful your thoughts and feelings are, you will be very careful with them.
“We are what we eat.” I am sure you heard of this one. How about: “We are what we do”? Repeatedly…
I still remember vividly during my childhood days, I had a neighbour whose kid had this strange and uncontrollable twitching of his chin. A repeated, uncontrollable twitching towards his right shoulder… it was as if he had some string attached to his chin and someone was constantly tugging it towards his right side, like a puppet.
And as kids are… most of the children in the neighbourhood would mimic his peculiar behaviour just to make fun of him. One day while we were at it again, someone’s mom caught sight of what we were doing. What she said next stuck with me till this day: “You do that long enough and it will stay with you for good. It becomes part of you.”
There is a certain truth in that statement, don’t you think? As we do, we become.
