Joyous and Happy in your pursuit for Success:
1. In All You Do, Seek To Value-Add
As you value-add to others, more value will come your way. This may sound like some mambo jumbo to you, but it is true. Don’t believe what I say… test it out for yourself. And observe for yourself how your choice to value-add to others impact their lives and then yours. This is my personal observation and experience: As I sincerely add value to other people’s lives, my own value increases.
2. Think Of Yourself Less
Thinking of yourself all the time will only make you miserable. At least that was how I felt before. I’ve learned to turn the spotlights on others rather than myself. When you truly understand what it means to give others the win, and do just that… you will enjoy the true essence of pure joy!
3. Listen To Your Heart More Than Your Mind
Many of us grew up being told time and again to think before we act/leap. It is precisely this well meaning advice that sometimes gets in our way to success. We think too much. So much so that many of us no longer hear the little whispering heart of ours. Know that it is your mind’s intention to guard you from harm, not to stop you from achieving greatness. So, while heeding its advice, remember to listen to your heart more often, for it is in your heart that you’ll find your dreams and passion. Take a leap of faith. You’ll see it when you believe it.

Two Uncommon Productions, One Common Message.
It has been called so many different names by different people. Some people call it their ‘destiny’ in life. Some term it ‘role’ or ‘life purpose’, while some others call it a ‘passion’, a ‘mission’, a ‘dream’. And where can we find this ‘passion’ or ‘dream’?
Have you, at any point in your life, encountered a difficult decision, and seek advice from someone whom you respect and trust? And all you get is: ‘Just follow your heart’.
Why do we want to follow our hearts? “Because, wherever your heart is, that is where you’ll find your treasure.” the Alchemist.

“We are what we eat.” I am sure you heard of this one. How about: “We are what we do”? Repeatedly…
I still remember vividly during my childhood days, I had a neighbour whose kid had this strange and uncontrollable twitching of his chin. A repeated, uncontrollable twitching towards his right shoulder… it was as if he had some string attached to his chin and someone was constantly tugging it towards his right side, like a puppet.
And as kids are… most of the children in the neighbourhood would mimic his peculiar behaviour just to make fun of him. One day while we were at it again, someone’s mom caught sight of what we were doing. What she said next stuck with me till this day: “You do that long enough and it will stay with you for good. It becomes part of you.”
There is a certain truth in that statement, don’t you think? As we do, we become.

The good news is, it is never too late to start planning, refining or, even, changing your itinerary, just as long as you know where you want to go. And if you look carefully, there are footprints ahead of us. Those who have gone before us have left footprints in the sand. These are templates we can follow.
As in planning a vacation, who do you usually go to for advice? Where do you go to do research?
Let’s suppose you want to make a trip to Africa. Would you find someone who has been to Africa but didn’t enjoy his trip to help you with the planning? Or ask someone who hasn’t been to Africa at all? Now you are laughing… Continue Reading »

“What is life?” Have you ever ask yourself or been asked this question? What really is life, to you?
Think of life as a vacation… Maybe it was a trip you make to Hawaii, California, New York, Hong Kong, Bali, etc. What are some expectations you had on your vacation? I suppose you would want to have fun, lots of fun… to engage in activities (as many as you could possibly fit in) that will bring to you the experience of excitement, enjoyment, laughter, as well as the enriching & fulfilling interactions with fellow travellers.
What do you typically do to fulfil those expectations? Various things, I guess… And it usually begin with a detailed itinerary, that will most likely be filled with things to do like sightseeing, shopping, check out the galleries & museums, the best restaurants, famous historical sites, famous places as recommended by prior travellers/guidebooks.
And because you have expectations and you took time to plan out a detailed itinerary, most likely you would achieve that ultimate experience you are looking for in that vacation.
In the same context, life is a vacation… A bigger one.
